Hand Crafted on Whidbey Island
Starting with all natural fibers, each "Whidbey Woolies" hat is hand knit by Linda and then finds its way into hot water for the felting process. Originally working with wool, Linda soon fell in love with the softness of alpaca yarn and now uses as much of that as she can get her hands on. With an eye towards having her own yarn on the hoof she recently obtained three of the Greenbank farm alpacas known affectionately as "the boys". They join Linda's two dogs Colby and Sadie as well as her partner Ron Kaye at their Whidbey home in the woods. Ron's woodworking skills are evident in the attractive stands which display the "Whidbey Woolies" merchandise.
